Quick Tips for Flat, Square Borders
- Measure through the center of the quilt (length and width). Cut borders to that length, not to the edge measurement.
- Mark and pin quarter points on both quilt and border to distribute ease evenly.
- Press, don’t stretch after attaching each border; then trim and re-square.
- Attach borders in pairs (sides, then top/bottom) to maintain symmetry.
