Quick Tips for Flat, Square Borders

  1. Measure through the center of the quilt (length and width). Cut borders to that length, not to the edge measurement.
  2. Mark and pin quarter points on both quilt and border to distribute ease evenly.
  3. Press, don’t stretch after attaching each border; then trim and re-square.
  4. Attach borders in pairs (sides, then top/bottom) to maintain symmetry.
