Crafting & Quilting Made Fun and Easy!

In this quilting series I will be teaching you how to make a quilt from start to finish. That includes, showing how to pick the pieces for your quilt and how to sew them together. I will also show you how to sew the blocks together, add small borders to increase the length of the quilt and add a larger border all around the quilt.
Additionally, I will be showing you how to piece the backing, and how to get the quilt ready for quilting. In this series, we will also learn how to free motion quilt a design on our quilt, square it up and bind it. I hope you enjoy this quilting adventure and I look forward to seeing your beautiful creations as well.
You can find all of the videos in the series, below. Or you can click on the tab, My Videos to view them there as well. 🙂 Happy Quilting!
I have had the pleasure of making 2 Harry Potter quilts, using a technique called paper piecing. I found this to be quite challenging but the end result is just amazing!

QUILT AS YOU GO TABLE RUNNER- In this tutorial, I teach you how to make this beautiful Fall table runner, just in time for the holidays! This table runner is made using the Quilt As You Go (QAYG) method.

SUPPLIES NEEDED:
1- JELLY ROLL (2 1/2 INCH STRIPS)
1 YARD BACKING FABRIC
1 YARD OF BATTING
THREAD
SEWING MACHINE
ROTARY CUTTER
CUTTING MAT
QUILTING RULER
SCISSORS
STRAIGHT PENS

FOR MORE PROJECTS, PLEASE VISIT:
4 Rolls of Deco Mesh – 10 x 30
Wire Wreath
Scissors
Ribbon (Wire)
Decorative items, such as: spiders, pumpkins, witches, bats, etc.
Hot Glue Gun
Glue Sticks
Pipe Cleaners
You will want to put something down to protect your work space to keep it from getting glittery. Also, as I mention in the video, and is totally optional, consider using a rotary cutter and mat. This makes the cutting process much faster and easier, especially for those who have arthritis in their hands like I do. I hope you enjoy making this project!

SUPPLIES NEEDED:
*White fabric – 3/4 yard
*Lace – 2 yards
*Sewing Machine
*Thread – I recommend cotton thread
*Cricut or Cutting Machine
*Foil HTV (Heat Transfer Vinyl)
*Heat press or Iron
*Scissors
*Weeding tool for HTV
HOW TO MAKE:
Cut 2 pieces of fabric. I cut each piece 5 inches wide. You will need to measure your length against your body to get the correct length of your sash. Once you have your pieces cut, take your lace and sew it on each side of your panels that you cut. Place the 2 sides, right sides together and sew at angle at the top and at the bottom to create your sash.
Using your cricut, find a font that you like and cut out the word Bride using HTV Vinyl. Weed the vinyl and then use your iron or heat press to press the vinyl onto your sash. You will need to follow the instructions in the vinyl to adhere to the correct fabric that you are using. Heat settings will vary based on fabric. I recommend using cotton.
