DISAPPEARING 9 PATCH
Quilt Block of the Month #11: Disappearing 9 Patch In this block we discover the many different patterns that we can make with a 9 patch/ nine patch. I have decided to for the quilt block of the month to use the disappearing 9 patch pattern. The disappearing 9 patch is also the block for November in our Sampler Quilt.
Cutting Instructions:
1- 5 x 5 Dark Square
4- 5 X 5 Light Squares
4- 5 X 5 Dark Squares

MARTHA WASHINGTON STAR QUILT BLOCK
Quilt Block of the Month #10: Martha Washington Star This the October quilt block of the month. We are getting closer to completing our Sampler quilt and I couldn’t be more excited! The Martha Washington Star is one of the prettiest quilt blocks that I have seen. I love it because it is so versatile and you can change the look just by changing up some of the squares like I did with the green corners. The fabric used on those squares is the Moda Grunge in Green. The other fabrics used in that block are Tula Pink Monkey Wrench fabrics. The purple Martha Washington Star is made from Riley Blake fabrics.
Cutting Instructions:
1- 4.5″ Light Fabric
1- 4.5″ Dark Print Fabric
6- 4″ Light Squares
4- 3.5″ Light Squares (Corner Squares)
4- 4″ Dark Print Squares
The block should finish at 12.5″

HOURGLASS – MODIFIED QUILT BLOCK FROM JANUARY
QUILT BLOCK OF THE MONTH: HOURGLASS (MODIFIED BLOCK)
In this tutorial, I teach you how to modify a simple 4 patch into an hourglass block. We already made the 4 patch in January when we first started. I wanted to start simple for those who might be beginners doing the sampler quilt along with us. As our skills have improved, I thought it was appropriate to modify this block. The hourglass quilt block is simple and looks great! In the coming weeks we will be preparing more blocks so that our sampler quilt can be finished in time for you to give as holiday and Christmas gifts to your loved ones.

PINWHEEL
QUILT BLOCK OF TH MONTH #9: PINWHEEL
The block of the month for September 2020 is the pinwheel. This is one of my favorite blocks for so many reasons. It looks like a really difficult block to make and yet it’s fairy easy. I say fairly easy, because getting the points to line up in the center can be a bit tricky, but with a little bit of practice and nesting your seams together, the block comes together very nicely. I have made many quilts with pinwheels and I never get tired of them. Pinwheels are fun to make and they look great on the front of the quilt as a main design choice, border choice or even on the back of the quilt if you trying to use up scraps. CUTTING: Cut 2 pieces of fabric right sides facing each other at 14.5″ X 14.5″
This will give you 2 – 13″ X 13″ finished blocks.

Quilt block of the month #7:
Drunkards Path. This month we are making a Drunkards Path Quilt Pattern. You can make many beautiful designs with the is block and I find that this pattern looks difficult, but in reality, it’s very doable. I have made a wall hanging using the Drunkards Path Block. It is a great project for scraps or Fat Quarters that you may have laying around that you’d like to use up. The Drunkards Path block is one of my favorites. It only takes 2 fat quarters to cut all of your pieces for the block. I also had a left over fabric that could be used to piece a border or binding if you wanted to add even more character to your Drunkards Path quilt.
